The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry and the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI) have scheduled the sixth New and Renewable Energy (EBTKE) Conference and Exhibition to be held in Balai Kartini, South Jakarta, on Sept. 13-15.
Dubbed the EBTKE ConEx, the event — held in conjunction with the 2017 Indonesia Clean Energy Forum themed “Renewable energy is a solution for energy security and Paris Agreement”— aims to attract 5,000 visitors, 1,750 international delegates and 45 global scale companies to display technology and business concepts.
Businesses from the gas sector are also welcome to join as fossil-fuel sourced energy is still deemed as an “alternative” source of energy during the transition period from fossil fuels to new and renewable energy.
“The event is a meant to familiarize stakeholders with the latest policies, technology and funding sources in a bid to boost the use of clean energy and clean power source,” exhibition chairman Paul Butarbutar said during the event’s launch on Wednesday.
The conference will feature international speakers in its first two days, and provide free trailing on the latest technology on the last day.
Delegates and speakers from the European Union, Denmark and United Kingdom are amongst the speakers and exhibitors slated to join, Paul said.
Regional administrations from across Indonesia have also been invited to attend.
